DAY 1:

We will meet in Newman Park in Arkansas City, KS on Friday, October 3 around 7:00am. Breakfast snacks and beverages will be provided. The ride on Day 1 will follow along bike paths by the Arkansas River in both Arkansas City and Wichita. The route will take us north through Udall to the BUK lunch at Grace Park in Rose Hill. After lunch, we will proceed through the north side of Derby, past Spirit AeroSystems, to Chapin Park in southeast Wichita. There we will consolidate into small groups and local Wichita riders will take us through the scenic bike paths along the river, across from the Boat House and Century II, through Exploration Place and Keeper of The Plains, then continuing to Sedgwick County Zoo and Park. Our event hotel will be the Hampton Inn on the SE corner of 29th Street and Maize Road.

DAY 2:

Day 2 of BUK 2025 features a low traveled rural route through small towns and farmland. We will depart the Hampton Inn at 8:00 and will join Ridge Rd going north for most of a straight shot to Salina. There will be self-SAG opportunities in Sedgwick and Hesston, then the BUK lunch will be at Canton City Park. The second half of the ride will pass through Roxbury, then to the BUK SAG at Gypsum, before finishing in Salina. Our event hotel will be the beautiful Homewood Suites in downtown Salina. The evening dinner banquet will be at the popular Martinelli’s Little Italy. Downtown Salina also features a sculpture walking tour, brewery, ice cream parlor, many murals, and on Saturday evenings a horse-drawn carriage.

DAY 3:

BUK 2025 Day 3 will depart from Salina’s Homewood Suites at 8:00 and will stop for a group photo opportunity at Salina’s 67401 mural. The route proceeds north and west on county roads, through Minneapolis and Delphos, then joins US Hwy 24 for a short trip west to Glasco for lunch at the City Park. The afternoon route is a combination of county roads and Hwy 24. At Asherville, we turn north and follow the old highway to Beloit. There will be multiple opportunities to self-SAG at Beloit, followed by the final leg of BUK taking us to the World’s Largest Ball of Twine at Cawker City.
